- Complete 20 continuing education units (CEU) provided from a list, or other pre-approved websites. (Contact us regarding questions about what counts). Submit paperwork — in digital format, if possible — demonstrating completion of educational units.
- Complete one client care packet for one birth you attended in the two years previous. We will provide the packet PDF for your use.
- Pay the $50 USD Renewal Fee via PayPal.
Upon completion of all four steps, we will issue you a new certificate. You will receive a digital copy via email and your certificate will also be published or updated in the
online alumni directory.
Doulas who certify through New Beginnings Doula Training are required to renew their certification every two years. This ensures that doulas stay up-to-date with their skills and current trends in birth.
To complete the certification renewal process, program alumni log in to their student account and click on the “Renewal” link under “Programs” in the main menu. We provide a list of accepted continuing education credit opportunities. There is also a PayPal link for processing payments and information on how to submit proof of continuing education credits.
