New Beginnings is a group of intelligently-minded people who work together to improve birth outcomes. We do this through a holistic approach, to care for mothers, partners, babies and families. When you join New Beginnings, then you become part of a global network of like-minded birth professionals. This includes doulas, midwives, doctors, nurses, and researchers who share the same vision of nurturing and care. We also encourage mentorship and support of one another among our students and alumni.
The old adage, “you lift me and I’ll lift thee, and together we will ascend” is very much a part of our purpose and mission. We don’t believe in the false concepts of competition, but rather recognize that each doula brings to their work a unique set of qualities and qualifications and characteristics that allow them to serve alongside other doulas, even in crowded markets.
